About us

Overview

Changing Tides Security (CTS) is a 100 percent black owned and female-powered company. The company was founded in 2003.

CTS’ core business is the deployment of static armed and un-armed security officers specialising in the corporate, industrial and retail sectors. The company employs a number of security officers including field managers, site supervisors, and dog-handlers over and above the normal static security officers.

Our success lies in the hands-on management, zero tolerance to crime and the availability at all times of senior management including the directors to all our clients.

All staff members have been independently vetted for criminal records, FICA checks, and have to achieve a 90% pass in the pre-employment aptitude test before being employed and eventually deployed.

Our ability to offer our clients optimum security solutions and services is based on a triangle where manpower, procedures and technology is kept in balance.

Since its founding, CTS has secured contracts at various public and private sector entities throughout the Gauteng Province where we are head-quartered.

The company can and will be able to mobilise and deploy outside of its traditional base of Gauteng should the need arise – this can be achieved within 20-days of being required to do so.

Strategy

The security industry in the country continues to be dominated by the old “securitos” with set ways of doing things. While the industry is placing emphasize on technology to manage operations, the truth is technology is managed and driven by human beings which creates gaps due to human error, if not structured and synchronised.

Our strategy is to employ the three pillars of “policing”: humans, technology and processes. The aim is to create a balance and harmony amongst these three components to achieve a new way of doing things and provide a more effective service to our clients.
